This did not charm me the way Nosy Neighbours did and I probably would’ve DNFed it but I had the audiobook and was passively listening while doing chores. It all seemed a little too contrived and predictable. Sampson’s choice to employ the structure of a time jump preceding the climax is irksome and the fact that she uses this device in both books I’ve read does not bode well for my picking up a third book by this author.

I really enjoyed this book, it was such a sweet story! I picked it up, as I liked the looks of the cover & I’m so glad that I did. It was tender and heart warming. I loved the friendships created in this book & how it showed that people from all walks of life & ages can have wonderful friendships. It shows kindness & how we can find healing, through being open hearted with those around us.
