nearly DNF'd, I don't know what happened but I enjoyed the first book but I just wasn't overly interested in this one, took me a while to finish.

Thank, NetGalley, Publishers Dreamscape Media, and the author Rumer Hale for providing this Audio-ARC. Which, I will be giving my honest and sincere review.

Romance:

Oh, this was such a great sequel, I had to keep reading and find out what was going to happen next! Can't wait to finish the series!

I enjoyed this book much more than the first. Finally getting to learn more about the guys plus the spicy scenes..*chef's kiss." Although I was starting to cringe everytime I read the word "delicious." It was repeated over and OVER again during the spicy scenes. I believe "core" was over used as well but it didn't drive me crazy like "delicious," I also wish the book was longer because I want to know more about the world. Its seems like so much to fit in to only 354 pages. That was my big issue with the first book, it was such a big story that seemed incredibly condensed. The group seems a little OP at the moment but I can't wait to see the battle with King and the underworld in the next book! Overall a fun read and I can't wait for book 3.

dark emotional

Involves more graphic torture but better writing than the first book. The main character feels less powerless and there is a lot of repetitive language to prove to her that she is loved.
dark emotional sad tense medium-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: No
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Complicated
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated
