I definitely enjoyed the writing much in this book vs. book one, but there was still some repetitive language that was frustrating.

While I still feel like the world building is lacking, we did get to learn more of the male main characters background. I still feel like there is more to learn since we only got bits and pieces. We also learned more about Kiarra’s background. Although, she freaked out learning about it and when she needed time to process, her mate was like how about we just have sex instead? It seemed like that happened a lot. Like they literally just got her back from torture part 2 and were like let’s get it on??? It’s a spicy book so I get the need for sex, but it just felt like they were all ignoring their traumas.

The series has been quick and easy to read so I’ll definitely be moving on to book 3. Hopefully, Kiarra will actually be open to learning more about herself.
