As someone who occasionally reads horror, I did not find this scary. Creepy and gross at times, but not scary. But wow, the emotional impact! This couple! I found myself crying multiple times.
I was a little dissatisfied with how it ended. Partly because I didn't want it to end, and also I felt there were some unanswered questions that I needed elaboration on. But, still five stars, and I will definitely reread it.

Ten days ago I finished book one from this series and now, six books later, this story finished me. As I couldn't find a release date for book two, I ran straight to the Webnovel app and continued reading.

The banter, the suspense, the torturous slow burn and THE EMOTIONS. I did not expect a horror story to make me cry, but towards the end I did. Frequently. What an intense book to start my reading year. But I also laughed a lot.
I don't think it's heavy on the horror. More a supernatural mystery with horror elements, but if monsters on a killing spree are not your thing, then this might not be for you.

if u can handle horror, explicit gore & other trigger warnings, then I ENCOURAGE YOU READ KALEIDOSCOPE OF DEATH! I have a high tolerance when it comes to horror & rarely got scared reading one but this is so good in that aspect! The plot, the characters, everything is so good! Never forget to read the extra chapter because that was where the mind-blowing plot twist was revealed!!!! I'M TELLING YOU, READ KALEIDOSCOPE OF DEATH!!!
