it really is a fascinating look at a community who both open up to and shut down an outsider, the ambiguity of the ending both makes perfect sense and none at all

This book felt like it was trying way too hard to be insightful and meaningful when it really was just pretentious and boring.

Enjoyed it a lot, though was not fully convinced by the ending. Enjoyed “The Answers” by Lacey a lot more, though I really like her overall style.

So much to uncover in such a small book. Quick but powerful read.
