I enjoyed this book! The set-up is so interesting that I felt drawn in. It's like a murder mystery mixed with a government conspiracy and political drama a little bit.
The way that the whole division between the cities wasn't physical or metaphysical, but just a social custom was so interesting to me. It definitely made me think about the things that all of us everyday just walk by because we've given ourselves permission to or we're so caught up in social customs to care.  I thought that the resolution of the plot was good, and I overall really enjoyed the story.

Most realistic, natural dialogue I've come across in a long time. Best selling point of the novel.

Didn't delve as much into the philosophy of the divided cities as I'd have liked, but passable nonetheless.
