Without any doubts, the Dark in You series is one of my favourites. I love every single character, especially little Asher. I was really excited to finally read Raini and Maddox's story, and although I didn't find it as enjoyable as the previous books, it is still a 4-star review for me.

Raini had to get Maddox's help to save Khloe's life. She doesn't regret it, but Maddox is becoming more demanding and when angels start killing off the descendant race, Raini is put in the middle of the fight as Maddox's anchor. Maddox needs to figure out his feelings for Raini soon before he loses her for good.

I feel like this one is the best of the spin off books after Harper/Knox's arc ended. My only real complaint is that there's so much here - the angels, descendants, how they're cursed, Raini's gifts, etc - that one book wasn't time to get into everything in any more than a superficial way. This would have benefitted from being a side series, a couple books to really dig into angels, descendents, "upper management", etc in a more detailed way. I wouldn't even have minded Raini/Maddox taking a whole book to really connect, given how standoffish Maddox was.

I think this might be my favourite one. this was a demons vs angels type situation. raini and Maddox are so cute. I loved their relationship and how accepting each other are of their issues/powers. they both have secrets that have them holding back on their feelings but when those secrets come out and they accept each other, they realize they could have had this this entire time and I love how possessive Maddox is and how accepting he is of her abilities and how accepting raini is of what Maddox and his lair has to do to survive

As always, Suzanne Wright delivers! I never mind waiting a year between books in her series, because when we finally get them they are always, as ever, stellar. Fallen, as with all her others, has well-rounded characters, and a great suspenseful plot. I've been intrigued by both Raini and Maddox since we first met Raini and then learned that Maddox was her mate. I had assumed they would wind up together and that the journey there would make for a great story and I wasn't wrong.

Raini and Maddox definitely had instant chemistry and attraction on first meeting, but Maddox, for specific reasons, had no plans on forming the anchor bond. Because of this Raini had decided to keep a distance between them. The slow burn build up until their chemistry finally explodes was perfect. At the same time both of them have people causing them problems and creating havoc and danger for them and their lairs. This book delivered on the suspense, romance and all the fun with all the characters we have come to know and love throughout this series. This was a great addition to the Dark in You series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Piatkus for the Advanced Reader Copy. I have voluntarily left an honest review.

This is one of my all time favourite series and finally. We get to Raini. Raini is a succubus it makes her feel uncomfortable so she dresses down. I have waited a long time for Raini to get her book especially when it became clear that it would be with Maddox Quention, a descendent, a demon with angelic blood. The plot is good and solid and Suzanne Wright is once again at her best. Some readers have said that it is inorganic because Raini and Maddox haven't known one another for long. I just so happen to disagree.

Raini's anchor is Maddox, a Prime who keeps his liar somewhat isolated. I thought it is brave for SW to take a step out of the Thorne Liar bubble and to take it in a different direction. To expand on the world that she has created and not feed us the same old, same old for at least another book. I can see that we are going to go back to Knox & Thorne's liar as Levi has found his anchor. Which is perfectly fine as I am stoked to read about Levi.

There were times however where Raini & Maddox's story kind of has similarities to how Knox and Harper started out. But not enough to bother me too much. Looking forward to more.

Another great installment by Suzzane Wright. Her world-building over the last six books had made this story one I was excited to read because I knew that she would once again deliver. The new characters introduced allowed for the storyline to develop naturally whilst still including and incorporating previous main leads. The building of the female lead in the story and her development in power and character were natural and entertaining. I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes for a great plot and smut book.
