so here is what i think
before watchmen maybe irrelevant yes it tells the story of what happened before the watchmen but its still some way to milk the potential stories of the watchmen
but still it is very important if you would like to prolong your watchmen experience or if you are feeling that you miss the watchmen you can read it again but much better why not read something entirely new this is why i am reading before watchmen and they are pretty good so far
dr.Manhattan the most powerful being in the universe the quantum observer have made the mistake of creating many time-lines other then his own
and in order to fix the world again he has to give up his free will
he has to change every decision he ever made to change the past into what it was supposed to be
and we have j Michael Straczynski to tell us the story one of the best people who can merge super heroes with reality using science fiction i cant help but wonder how good did he do in his run with the amazing spider-man i guess i will have to read it sometime soon

This issue is when Dr. Manhattan realizes that he became a quantum observer of his own life in 1966 at an early meeting of the Crimebusters. His wife is with him and she catches him staring at Silk Spectre and gets very upset as you can imagine. By thinking that he was paired with Silk Spectre, as the quantum observer he changed the outcome of reality. And then reality split off into multiple timelines.

Dr. Manhattan learns that even though he is limitless, he has to make himself limited to keep the timeline intact. By eliminating his ability to choose, he keeps one timeline intact the way it is supposed to be instead of fractured into many pieces.

In the end, Dr. Manhattan is able to eliminate all possible choices across multiple timelines to converge everything into one and we get to see it as it's happening throughout the comic book. And then it ends, so we have to read the final issue to find out the ending of the story.
