The highly anticipated comeuppance of the heroine's cousin was a letdown. Not nearly enough groveling.
this was not a very interesting book. also i cannot believe she forgave that girl. 2 stars because it was written well grammatically but it just did not capture me at all.
This was a fun, cute story! I met Leela Lou Dahlin at Shameless and bought this book from her! It's my first read and I can't wait to dive into more of her stories. The only thing that frustrated me was Gemmi forgave her cousin way too easily. I won't give spoilers, but sorry, I wouldn't forgive that woman that quick if she did that to me. lol
Whoo, That Ending
The story was middle ground okay for me, until the end. Rosalyn's excuse/reasoning for sleeping with Gemmi's boyfriends is trash. No way around it, Rosalyn does not redeem herself. She wanted their family to think she was better than Gemmi so she hurt and embarrassed her cousin at family functions. Doesn't make much sense, does it? I don't even think Rosalyn's embarrassed about hurting Gemmi in that way. The only reason she even reconciles with Gemmi is at Camden's request.. it feel weird to make this review so much about a secondary character, but it really took away from this book.
