i love apollo and i love lester. he is so funny and cute. i also loved the small cameos from my favourite characters like Percy, Leo, Nico and even now Will. This book is a good set up to the rest of the series and I’m excited to see where this goes because I have absolutely no idea.

Apollo is a hard character to sympathize with by design but I was fascinated by the way his thoughts mirror Magnus’ while being motivated by completely different understandings of self. Magnus doesn’t believe he is/can be a good hero because he is literally just a guy. Apollo doesn’t believe he is/can be a hero because he is supposed to be so much MORE than some guy.
Love that we have a child of Demeter in the spotlight now!
Also living for the moments of Will/Nico that are thrown in here.
