This was a DNF for me. The writing was amazing, the plot was entertaining, and there was the ability to really get to know the characters. However, the plot was predictable, the characters all had the same main personality flaw, constantly making the same issue. I do not plan to finish the series.

The end is so damn sad! I’m so glad I waited for this to be a finished series before starting! On to the last one!

i'm so sorry but no. this book was a total filler. i skimmed through 70% of the book, because i didn't want to dnf it. i spent so much time reading the first 3 books + novella, that i must finish this series. i feel like the story began so well, the novella and the first book were amazing, but the more you keep reading, the worse it gets. the authors keep repeating the same scenes over and over, the same unresolved arguments that are the whole plot line of the story. i can't deal with this anymore. i'm starting to not like the characters at all anymore. i feel like in the first/second book they developed so much and now they are just plain boring. the only characters i save are maverick, jj and chase. i hate rogue and fox so much. the books drag so much, i would save only 50 pages of this one. in my opinion, the series should've been 3 400-page books. the only thing that keeps you going is the final plot twist that makes you want to keep reading. honestly, i'm going to read the last book, but my expectations are slim to none.
