this was a light read about two families who do a house swap between Berlin and Dallas. They inevitable get wrapped up in each other’s lives. It wraps up in the most unrealistic happy way. I read this fast, but I didn’t love it. Seems like every adult was super selfish, not really lovable at all. The “controversy” about the painting seems like it needed a LOT more research to be confirmed. But eh. It was good enough.

Every relationship issue in this book is caused by miscommunication or a total lack of communication. BUT it is heartwarming and didn’t make me want to scream “just talk to them!!”

there is nothing more comforting than Any Poeppel’s writing. Loved this story and the ending. Easiest, feel good, “rom com” read. Loved all of the characters. It wasn’t always easy to understand the German that was sprinkled in.
