My friend forced me to read this. Thanks, I really needed that.

I'll start off with the things that I liked because it's a short list:
The writing wasn't the worst thing I have read, which isn't really a complement since I read a lot of unedited fanfiction. Seriously though it wasn't too bad.
That finishes off that section, now onto the atrocious things.
1. FORCING CARNIVOROUS ANIMALS TO EAT VEGETARIAN? This is like an actual problem in the real world and can lead to them getting very sick. Why would you ever promote this? There's an actual movement of people feeding their pets vegetarian food and it is incredibly dangerous to the pets. They are carnivorous for a reason people.
2. Continuing on to the last point, this world makes no sense. Everyone is vegetarian and apparentl there are no extinct animals because it's sooooo perfect. Also apparently there is a race that serves the elves because they "like it" which is... not a good choice. Also why bother having money if no one ever needs it. Also, apparently, everyone is great which isn't true because they are getting attacked by evil elves like what. they also seem to have discrimination which also goes against the "all elves are great" narrative.
3. The main character is as boring as a piece of plastic. Scratch that, a piece of plastic is the most interesting thing in the world compared to her. Her whole personality is being perfect and whining about how her life is so hard because of it. Five minutes inside her head and I already want to punch her in the face.
4. The other characters have one personality trait apiece. Dex is... he had something to him that I don't remember. Keefe is sarcastic, Fitz is... hot? I guess? I don't remember any other characters because they are so forgettable.
5. What's even the message? I don't expect the pinnacle of emotional nuance, but at least have a theme.
6. This plot is so damn boring. She goes to the elf world, nothing happens for 300 pages or so, the climax happens, and then it's done.
7. I didn't notice this when I first wrote the review, but the whole matchmaking thing is literally eugenics. And it's portrayed like the problem is that the might love someone outside their match instead of the eugenics thing.
