If IT, Jumanji, and Stranger Things had a love child, you would get this comic. Beautifully illustrated and hauntingly adult Die is an exploration of what it means when we have to confront the mistakes and actions of our youth.

I unfortunately don’t have a lot to say about this comic. It is visually appealing and has the potential for exploring trauma in a number of contrasting ways. I definitely am interested in the “missing” children and years that they were not capable of talking about. However, it’s just… ok. There’s nothing terrible, and I would read more if my library had more, but there’s also nothing that particularly compels me to keep reading.

I love the premise of this one, and the art is stunning, but the story and the characters don't do the idea justice. Genuinely so disappointed I didn't love this one!

Loving the first volume of Gillen's D&D inspired tale, though I was surprised to see certain elements wrapped up in this arc. (I'm sure they will come back to haunt us in future volumes, but still....) The twists at the end of issue five regarding the world itself and the fate of the party ensure I'll be eagerly awaiting the 2nd arc this fall.
