A perfect end to a perfect series! I love the parallels of Silena and Clarisse to Patroclus and Achilles. I don’t know if it was intentional or not but it was executed flawlessly. The ending was very unexpected in the best way possible.

The first series reread is complete. This book is a great finish to the series. Action is non-stop and war is raging throughout the book. With all the hype the final war is given throughout the series, I thought Riordan did a good job making it epic in scope with real consequences. The demigods are not invulnerable, and there are deaths that hit hard. The prophecy comes true in ways we don't expect (as is the way with prophecies). The ending satisfies. And the end also leaves room for the next series, Heroes of Olympus. Which of course I will be rereading too. The Percy Jackson world continues to be a favorite.

The finale of the original Percy Jackson books. Everything finally comes together and it’s a race against time itself to stop Kronos’s invasion of Olympus.

This book is a ride from start to finish, you’ll find yourself enthralled and not wanting to put the book down.

Such a good ending to the series! Drama between Percy, Annabeth, and Rachel was a bit annoying, but they figured it out eventually. Satisfied with Luke’s character arc, but also it’s sad.
