I loved the writing style of the entire book, and the pacing of the first half of the book was consistent, however I didn't fully resonate with the last quarter of the book. Would definitely read this author again.

This was a super dark, yet quick and captivating read. I particularly loved the sections of the book that explored Alfa’s early life growing up and before going to war and almost wish there was more of it included. The last few chapters definitely lost me and left me feeling like I’d missed important information somewhere. Overall though it was a worthwhile read.
