The Elric brothers spend quite a bit of time in this one apart. Al is kidnapped by some homunculi, and Ed needs to take his assessment test...which he forgot about and didn’t do any training for. What else is new? We also get to see their teacher be her usual protective self!

I dislike the serious fight scenes in these books, and unfortunately, this book was 3/4 fight scenes. The only reason I don't like them is because the style of the fights doesn't tell me who is winning. And I find that REALLY irritating.
