It was alright. The characters were cute, liked them at first but then the whole back and forth in the relationship ruined it a bit for me.

i loved the banter and the beginning was so fun but the pacing felt off. he was already buying a wedding ring when they had only known each other for around a month. and mind you, they've only been in a relationship for 2 weeks. when you take into account the fact that she's been struggling heavily with grief over her deceased fiancé for the past 2 years the pacing makes even less sense.

So honestly, you can find this storyline pretty much everywhere. Regardless, I still enjoy another Abby Jimenez book. I just love her writing.

I thought I would love this more than the first book, but I honestly liked ‘The Friend Zone’ better. That’s not to say, that this book wasn’t good. It started really cute actually. It gets you all smiling and giddy. What I didn’t like so much was when the second half of the story — I almost hated it. There was just a lot of push and pulls and “ha! I knew it” moments. Jason is such a sweetheart and I love this version of him that’s why I enjoyed the first half more - without the fame. Sloan’s character, kinda frustrating but realistic. I actually laughed at myself when realization hit me that at a certain point, I was just like her.

The second half was just not it for me. Though it ended on a high note. So that redeemed it. Overall, this was a good book.

Just one more book from this series then I’m done, yay!!!
