I first read this book when I was a kid and as a lover of the horror genre, I was immediately drawn into it. I have to admit, the description of the town totally captivated me. I've always anted to live in a place like Springfield, minus the evil that lurks there. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

If it were not for the unconvincing dialogue and the ultimately pointless introduction of two characters supposedly crucial to the outcome of the story, I'd be prepared to rate this book higher. Regrettably, all it really has going for it is the conception of the BIG BAD itself.
