Amora is a terribly unlikable character. I couldn’t stand her with all her “rightful heir” monologues. Also, her unreasonable dislike for Ferrick while falling head over heels for Bastian immediately was such an eyerollllll. It’s giving Kocoum vs John Smith. (Team Kocoum all the way). Additionally, the first 50 pages of this book were basically only describing ridiculous dresses and uniforms. Soooo boring.

This book has an interesting concept and strong start, but at this point I’ve lost interest. It’s very average/typical/tropey YA.

Right now I’ve got a lot on my plate and have other books that I need to prioritize over this one. I don’t expect to revisit this book.

Pretty solid book. I will read the sequel but maybe not immediately.
I thought the characters were interesting along with the world. It was a little slow in some places for me, but I enjoyed it regardless.

All The Stars And Teeth by Adalyn Grace was every bit as good as the cover led me to believe (yes, sometimes you CAN judge a book by it’s cover). I loved this ya Fantasy from cover to cover—I couldn’t put it down! I really loved the characters, but the real shining factor is the world. I loved the magic system, and while I hope to learn more about it in the sequel, this was the perfect introduction into the world without being overwhelming. I thought this book was really well-written, without being too overly descriptive. I’m honestly sad this is only a duology because I loved this first book so much. If you’re a big fan of YA fantasy, and have yet to add this to your TBR, stop reading this review and get on it. You don’t want to miss this one.
