I loved this book but I am not sure I should have read it. I want to be like Justine. I want to bring out all of my Christmas decorations and start decorating, playing Christmas music and baking all the cookies.

Clayton East has been avoiding his home in Texas. He can't avoid it anymore. His parents need him after suffering financial setbacks and a medical emergency. He only plans on staying long enough to get them back on their feet. Then he will be gone.

Best laid plans and all that soon go out the window. The arrest of a juvenile in a crime against his family changes everything when his guardian arrives at the Sheriff's office. My heart was all a twitter as the story's slow build took me through all of the emotions and giving me a wonderful gift in a beautiful ending.

The Christmas Cowboy Hero has reminded me of the importance of Christmas. Gifts are nice, but love, hope and family are the best gifts and they can't be wrapped.

The heroine at the end was like “You love me??” bitch I was also surprised because these characters had ZERO connection.

Loving this new contemporary series. Thought for sure after the last try by this author was a sign to skip her new work but so glad I reached for this for the Christmas theme.

This book hit all my buttons, a holiday romance, past tragedy, a Navy Seal Cowboy!!! Whew. I picked it up and didn't put it down. I loved both Clay and Abby and how sweet they were together. Add in the mixture of both families and sigh, it was great story!

** I received a copy of The Christmas Cowboy Hero from St. Martins Press and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

The Christmas Cowboy Hero by Donna Grant is the first book of her Heart of Texas series. I have read all of Ms. Grant's Sons of Texas series and I hope that there will be many more in this new series as this book was just WOW. I loved it from the first page to the last one.

Clayton East is coming home to his parents ranch after being a Navy SEAL for years but he's stayed away because of a tragedy with his older brother when he was a child. Now he's needed because his father has had a stroke and they have had their money and cows stolen by thieves. When he finds out who was part of the rustlers he doesn't expect to meet a 13 year old boy who won't say who was the ringleader and his very proud sister, Abby Harper. Little does he know that he will fall for the headstrong Abby but that he'd grow to love the two brothers whom she's been raising alone for 8 years.

Abby Harper has been raising her two brothers and making sure that they have what they need while going without herself. But when she's called into the sheriff's office she doesn't expect Clayton willing to give Brice a second chance to work off the debt from the cows he helped steal. But when paperwork comes across her desk at work that may give a clue to who the ringleader is, she helps Clayton and his family with the missing money and cows while falling hard for the handsome cowboy.

I Loved this book and highly recommend reading it.

This series was sweet and with a couple that so deserved to be loved by each other. They both needed a HEA. Oh and it was a Xmas book, awwww.

Clayton is an Ex-Seal who comes home to help with the farm when everything has gone to hell. Stolen cattle, a father who is ill and more. He was so sweet and wonderful and yes a true cowboy hero. But with wounds of his own.

Abby takes care of her two younger brothers and does nothing for herself. They are dirtpoor but they have each other. She was great, he whole family was great. But then her brother steals cattle. Which leads to the best thing ever. They all meet hunky Clayton.

I liked how they slowly became friends and then more. I felt it moved in a nice pace and that they truly liked each other.

There is also some suspense regarding the stolen cattle and who was behind it all.

Narrator. Rebecca Estrella
She did do a good job and kept me listening and wanting more. But I did feel her voice was not as strong all the time. But that is me personally. You can not click with them all. But I would still listen to more by her

As soon as I accepted this review, I kicked myself as I wasn't sure if this would really be my type of book. Contemporary romance can be a hit or miss for me and I feel bad when it's a miss. Phew, I really enjoyed this novel! There is a sweet romance, a small town and a bit of mystery - all of my favourite things in romances.

Clayton, a former Navy-Seal, is back home trying to get the family ranch out of the red. Their longtime accountant retired and left the business to his son. His son took the ranch's money and ran. Now Clayton is trying to find him and figure out how to keep the family ranch running. Abby is raising her two teenage brothers and trying to get her college degree. When her brother is arrested for stealing one of Clayton's cattle, Abby is unsure of what to do next for him. Clayton decides to give him another chance and work off his debt. And, Clayton is hoping he will give up his friends who also stole the cattle. Clayton sees how much Abby is trying to raise her brothers, work and get her degree so invites her to dinner when she picks up her brother after his shifts. Abby's degree is going towards accounting so she begins to help him figure out how their accountant embezzled money. Soon, the two find themselves more than just physically attracted to each other.

I loved the story, the characters and the holiday theme. It was a fun easy quick read and I cannot wait till the second book!
