This one was a good one! I loved the summery/vacation setting to be the background for this thriller, I really enjoyed the idea behind it and how shady company dealings were a huge focus of this novel. I haven't read a thriller that had this type of ideal before.

I was, at first, so excited thinking this was going to be reminiscent of Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" then as, the story moved forward, I was kind of afraid that it would take a "The Woman In Cabin 10" turn (not one of my favourites...) But I am glad that it turned out to be entirely its own story.

The cast of characters were so intriguing and I never knew which way their loyalties lay. Some of the characters annoyed me for not seeing their hostess for the snake she was. Speaking of: she was the LEAST trustworthy character throughout this novel and I feel that she lied about WAY more than was being eluded to...

I was surprised by most of this book, however, and as with most thrillers I'm finding lately, I had figured out a few of the big reveals. If I didn't have the entire reveal figured out, I had figured out more than half of it.

Overall, a steady thriller. Untrustworthy characters, a murder, a beautiful setting. I'd recommend for sure!

I flew through this book! Loved it! I loved the plot twist and the story overall. Im just upset it sat on my shelf unread for so long!

So, this book started off super slow for me, even though I was interested!! But when it got going, man it really went. In the end, I did really enjoy it! A couple of issues I had, Belle didn’t really add up as a character for me. She seemed so passive, maybe a bit shy? But she’s an actress and does drugs occasionally? It kind of confused me. Summer is the absolute worsttttt, but that’s super necessary to the story as a whole. I loved Eric and I loved Belle. The story itself is interesting and surprising, I definitely wasn’t expecting the back and forth in time but it made sense. I recommend! This is a nice book for a lighter mystery type.

I won an ARC of this book through Goodreads! This is a fun and well written thriller. A perfect summer beach read. I was drawn in immediately and didn’t want to put it down! It’s like Crazy Rich Asians meets your favorite murder mystery.
