Shadows So Cruel was such a strong and satisfying end to this duology. I loved watching Galantia grow into herself, her character development was phenomenal and one of the standout elements of the book.
I might be in the minority here, but I really didn’t care for Sebian. He got on my nerves a bit and felt too clingy for my taste. That said,I still appreciated his sacrifice and was ultimately happy with how everything wrapped up.
Like the first book, this is definitely a dark fantasy romance, so be sure to check trigger warnings before diving in. But if you’re up for the ride, it’s intense, emotional, and absolutely worth it.

Like dark dark… Like who am I rooting for dark? Like hard to pick up because you know it’s going to be rough but hard to put down because you are deeply invested in seeing these characters overcome their trauma dark… Like it took me two days to review this because I know it was really good but I rate for vibes and finishing this book left me a bit unsettled dark…Like I’m not a particularly sensitive reader when it comes to triggers but if you are you should DEFINITELY read them dark.
