Honestly, I thought it was funny. Humph was goofy and the sarcastic conversations at the party dinners made me laugh. I enjoyed it as a quick read!

Lovely

This w was such a fun read, I laughed out loud several times, Effie was funny and charming, and everyone else was interesting and I couldn't stop until I found out what happened with the house and they could get themselves together and talk, but unlike other books I understood why they would not and I thought it was all well written and put together.

It's been years that I read anything by this author, but this book was a let down. The main character Effie annoyed me. It was frustrating to see how she let's Krista ruin her relationship with her whole family. The plot was predictable. I really couldn't believe Effie would want to stay hidden at the party. Though something good came out of it. Still, this was a very frustrating read for me. I kept hoping it would get better, but sadly it didn't. Atleast it was a quick read.
