Too much name-dumping and info-dumping at the start of a book makes for such a dry reading experience. I feel like I should be taking notes or making charts or something, which I don't have the patience for at the moment.

I must say it was quite difficult to get into the story in the beginning because there were a lot (and i mean A LOT) of different characters introduced at the beginning and I was very confused by the politic aspects. Once you get who is who and who is working with who the story is way better and I'm totally hooked

I absolutely love the protagonist and I can't wait to read the second volume (just hoping I won't forget too much about the politics until then)

This book is very hard to rate. The beginning is quote dense since it introduces the politics of the storyworld and so so many characters. It also gets a bit boring UNTIL the story finally picks up. And from that point on, I could barely put it down. This is a very promising start of the series. Also ending on that cliffhanger was just mean!
