I am still thinking about this book and still not sure of my feelings towards the story. I definitely did find the story compelling in many ways as the characters grew and developed.
I will get back to this soon.

This book is truly wonderful and the fact that it is autobiographical makes it all the better to read. Craig Thompson does a amazing job of detailing his early life, fall from faith and first love. Using his stunning art style he tells a captivating story you don't want to put down. There is not much else I really want to say other than regardless of if you are a graphic novel fan or not. Or if you'd like to get into graphic novels with something effortlessly easy to read then this is the book for you. I'd say its a must read for everyone.

I got to about page 200 and then I had to drop it. I was practically falling asleep, the constant time skipping back and forth got highly confusing and annoying, the MC was terrible, I am religious myself but the stuff happening in this one just seemed way too much and I could imagine that people will run away from religion, the masturbation scene was a big fat NOPE, the child abuse and the bullying no thank you, and I could go on. The art was nice though, and that is what kept me going. Other than that.. no thank you.
