This book would be for someone who is in the mood for something: extremely pretentious, sometimes funny, and cleverly structured.

i loved this play so much. it was exactly up my alley, and i genuinely stayed up thinking about it.

the concept that knowledge will never be lost and can always be found, or even the concept that nothing, in the ultimate pursuit of knowledge and understanding, is ever trivial, is so lovely and a little inspiring.

gus’s mysterious nature is a great inclusion into the strange nature of the universe and the mysteriousness of it — that small bit of chaos theory.

This play. On one hand, intellectually, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the concepts of the play. Stoppard is a smart cookie, and he expects the members of the audience to be smart cookies as well. Entropy, second law of thermodynamics, garden architecture, and iterated algorithms all play a part and he doesn't stop to explain them. They just are.
On the other hand, I just loved it. The characters were funny, witty, and full of life, real three dimensional people. The ending was heartbreaking, but beautiful and full of poetry. Now I just want to see it performed.

Listened to the audiobook recording where it was read like a radio play. Lots of cute one-liners.
