Madeline Miller is a master of creating dread, heartache, poetic (if not lengthy) explanations, good twists, longing, and lines that will make you want to close the book and stare at the wall.

Although it takes almost 100 pages to get going, every page is important to the story and most importantly, Circe's arch, which is very well done.

If you want the same essence of TSOA and love greek myth re-imaginings, I highly recommend Circe, as it has the same style but its own perspective.
I understand that Circe's limited POV might be dull to some, but I think it provides an interesting perspective of for ex. learning about things years after they have happened and constantly being out of the loop.

I'm so glad I gave it a try

Another incredible read from Madeline Miller. I've put so many tabs in this book; there's no end to the amount of incredible scenes Miller paints, whether of self-acceptance, self-discovery, or healing from past abuse. Circe was an incredible character to follow, and I loved the entire last chapter. While I lost a bit of enthusiasm toward the end, that may have just been because I was dreading the end and started slowing my reading pace. Wonderfully done, I can't wait to come back to this one and re-read everything I loved about it the first time. Well done, Miller. I can't wait to see what she does next.

Circe is a coming of age book even if it takes millenia for her to come of age. The way she grows as a person and as a witch but always stays loving fiercely. Her loneliness her lack of loneliness and finally creating a family on her own and achieving what i think was always meant for her. I love her. And this was beautifully written as to be expected
