Such a delight from beginning to end. I was expecting a daunting read and found it was beautiful in its simplicity. Very well done.

This was such a beautiful piece of literature to read both in its language and how images were painted for us but in how it made such an epic scope of stories we’ve heard time and time again feel so personal and intimate. Ugh, I already want to read it again and I’m already wishing I can read it for the first time all over again. I hope this one remains a classic and as integral to Circe’s story as the original myths themselves.

Fantasy is not my favorite genre, but I enjoyed revisiting my college Greek Mythology classes via this story.

A lyrical masterpiece. Like reading a song with some of the best imagery I’ve ever read.
Exceptionally emotional but absolutely wonderful! Circe’s story is fabulous and Madeline Miller did the best possible job. No one could do better.

I couldn’t put this one down. Looking back on it, it felt like a whirlwind. Over a thousand years’ worth of Circe’s life in a few hundred pages. I did not find it too rushed. I loved Circe’s growth and eventual closure. I would read it again.
