i loved being back with jack and jill, my fave girlie monsters fr! seanan mcguire really is a master of their craft and i love how nostalgic this series feels despite this being my first time reading it

Every single one of these books I’ve read in 2 days because I can’t put it down. I love the characters, I love the pacing and I love the worlds. It was great seeing Jack and Jill again and getting an update, and it was great seeing more of the moors. I loved the new characters introduced in this one too and can’t wait to pick up the next book

Me: Whole numbers and quarter increments.

Me: So you like this one less than the last?

13y/o: Yeah. It felt like a LOT of buildup, and then was resolved really fast. 

Me: And also, this is the third Jack and Jill book out of five. 

13y/o: Seanan has favourites. Well. One favourite. And it's Jack. I really wanted Jill's PoV! What was she doing during all of this? Why don't we know?
