A perfectly reasonable book. It takes me a bit of effort to read it (like it doesn’t pull me in until I can’t stop reading), but it is enjoyable all the same. It still feels really dated. I do wish there were more stakes, however I think that by its short story nature, it will take longer to build bigger stakes. It is kinda fun to see this vampire get slightly more powerful as time goes on. I can totally see him 200 years from now and just entirely unfazed by anything he comes across. He isn’t just getting stronger physically (like that silver reveal in the last short story), but he is building the respect and gaining the friendship of some very powerful people. (Also I do hope that Asha ends up working with him at his accounting firm in the future).

Another excellent book in this series. I cannot get enough of these books!

Now this is how an entertaining humorous fiction book should be like. While all the parts individually are great, what makes this a paragon of the genre is the fact that it is just a series of vaguely interconnecting short stories. So in each case, what's going on doesn't overstay its welcome or take itself to seriously.

This series is pretty much a blanket recommendation to anyone who reads this review, even if you are sick of vampires.

Greatly entertaining. And coming back to the series a third time now, my goodness, these characters make me happy.
