The S. Kenyon book is not bad, a bit short. The Jaid Black story fills in a missing piece in the overall story, but really is too short. The Kresley Cole story is wonderful!

Meh... There isn't really anything that jumps out and says "quality literature right here" of course - they're romance stories, what did you expect?! But it's kind of sad when the only story out of the three in the book that seems even remotely likely to end in a good relationship is the one involving a vampire and Valkyrie.

The one with the Vikings was kind of fail, too. The author didn't even try to show how the kidnapper made his victim fall in love. It was just "I will escape" to "bam, we're pregnant and totally in ooey-gooey love!"

And the very first story was the most ridiculous of all. They fall in love and apparently just *know* everything about each other in less than twenty-four hours. "You're the smartest woman I know." Really, mafia guy? The smartest woman you know? Considering you know absolutely nothing about her life, you just insulted every woman you've ever met including you mom and sister.

Read all three novels but picked this up mostly for Jaid Blacks novel. The other two novels get 3 stars from me and Jaids gets 4 stars.
Fun steamy times

Though I initially started this book to read Kresley Cole's story, The Warlord Wants Forever, I did find the other stories entertaining.

However, and with biased as I adore Kresley Cole, Myst and Wroth's story was my favorite in the anthology.

This was a wonderful story between a ex-Mafia hitman, Vince, and Allison, who won a contest based on a romantic novel she loved. She meets Vince on the island set up exactly like the book, and going off-script, she falls for Vince. This was a sweet and sexy novel that I would recommend to any romance reader!!

Turn Up the Heat by Sherrilyn Kenyon - 2.5-3 stars. Parts of this story were 4 stars, other parts were 2. I enjoyed up to when they slept together but then everything else just fell kind of flat for me. I didn't understand why Allison's boss was supposed to be such a jerk. All I saw him doing was telling her to do certain things that I would assume would be part of her job. Also I didn't fully believe her change when all the real action started happening. Normally I really love what SK brings to a story but I will admit that the B.A.D. series is my least favorite series of hers.

Hunter's Oath by Jaid Black 3 stars. Never read Jaid Black before but I liked this one. There wasn't much going on however and I didn't feel a huge attachment to either of the characters. It bothered me though that the women were kidnapped to be brides for these Vikings and I it made me a little uncomfortable that all these women eventually accept this new life, there's a Stockholm Syndrome feel to the story. Although I also understand why Sofia stayed with Johen...kind of. She has no family left alive but doesn't she have any friends? Wouldn't they be wondering where she went? Anyway, it was an ok story and I'll read more by JB in the future.

The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresely Cole 4-4.5 stars. I really liked this one. It wasn't a favorite of the series but it was still very enjoyable. After reading all the little moments between Nikolai and Myst in all the other books I really wanted to read this one. And even though much of what is in this story has been mentioned in later books in the IAD series it's still a good idea to read this one. My only complaint, I wish these two got a full length novel. Other than that, this was a great read.

Turn Up the Heat by Sherrilyn Kenyon - I really liked this story, but boy was it way too short. Vince & Allison have the potential to become great supporting characters if Kenyon ever decides to merge the agents into the same story (which I hope eventually happens). I love that we got another peak into Joe's background, and the romance island tied into agent-training ground makes a lot more sense, now that Wulfgar Zimmerman & Joe's history (along with Vince) came to light.

Hunter's Oath by Jaid Black - This one kind of disturbed me. I wasn't thrilled with the kidnapping to happy ending aspect of the story. One of the downsides to short stories. The transition from one to the other was pretty abrupt.

The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole - Loved this story! This was probably my favorite in the book. I really enjoyed the characters, and will be tracking down more books by this author!

I first got this book mainly just to read The Warlord wants forever by Kresley Cole because it was the prequel to the beginning of the series but decided to read the other stories while I was at it.

The first story, Turn Up the Heat by Sherrilyn Kenyon was probably my least favorite, I liked the idea. The heroine was good as well, and was the hero but to me the story just went by too fast. I guess thats what a short story is but I just felt it could have been a bit longer, some details I felt needed to be added.

The next story, Hunter's Oath by Jaid Black, was better than the first. I did have more depth than the first, for that I was thankful for. The main plot was interesting, it would have been nice to read more about the Viking world but it was still written well.

The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole was the best story out of them all. I really enjoyed the plot, and there was so much more depth to the characters and plot. I am excited to read the next books in the series.

Overall this book was good, I would recommend it to people who like romance mixed in with some action

Meh. The Mafia story I avoided, The viking story made no sense, and I hate Valkyries.
