This was a difficult book to start, knowing that it was Terry Pratchett's last. It was wonderful and far too short, if only because I know there won't be another. The story didn't feel like a leave-taking, which is probably good, but a sense of sadness and loss surrounds the book and my reading of it.

The book is excellent. Read it. read more. Obviously read the first 4 Tiffany Aching books first. I look forward to sharing it with my daughter.

I don't care if this story has problems. I don't care if it is unfinished and needed polishing. I don't care. This book means so much to me. You can pry this 5 star rating from my cold dead hands

Sigh... The end.

I'll just say, for now (no spoilers), that I'm so sad to have finished reading this book. It is the last Discworld book ever... and now it's over. Such an excellent read. Pterry at his finest...

As good an end as any

A bittersweet ending to a beloved series. Not as lighthearted or satirical as many of the Discworld novels, and certainly not a polished work (as acknowledged in the afterword), but a satisfying end to a wonderful world and a beloved character's arc.

Yes, it's unfinished in places. But the story and it's ideas feel like a worthy capstone of Discworld. As I finish my four years of trecking through this universe, I can only feel appreciation, sadness, and love. Thank you Sir Pratchett, I will always be grateful.
