My first Nora Roberts book, “The Awakening” lures the reader to the world of Talamh to discover the true power of Breen Siobhan and her family. A world of fey and magic and evil waiting to be defeated, with the magical backdrop of summer in Ireland.

CW: emotional abuse, parent death

This is another fantasy from La Nora. This one is a lot longer than The One. I enjoyed this. It's a pretty long slow burn with a soft cliffhanger at the end. I adored Marco, Sally, and Derrick. I enjoyed watching Breen re-introducing herself to the people in Talamh. I thought her growing relationship with Keegan was interesting. It's not one of them knowing they love the other from dreams or visions. They don't know how they feel about each other and sort of dance around each other for a lot of the book. I loved how Breen embraced her magic after being doubtful at the beginning. I also liked how she took the time to not leave everyone in the lurch from whichever world she was concerned about. I look forward to reading more about this adventure.

I wish I didn’t find this until the rest of the trilogy was out omg I really enjoyed it. It’s one of those books that starts as a like 3 and you’re like hmm not bad and then bam you’re sucked in and can’t stop.
