age gap+hockey+forbidden

Emilia moves to a new city and she goes out for a one night stand where she meets Smith. They end up spending the weekend together. They don’t share many specifics just an enjoyable weekend. They soon find out she works in the media offices for the hockey team her uncle coaches, the same team Smith plays for.

This book has age gap and forbidden relationship (there is an office memo regarding dating players). Emilia had to decide to follow her heart for Smith or her head and pursue her career. I loved the choice Emilia made. Smith realizes he has to choose too. Love or a career. I really liked that this didn’t end with them giving up their dreams. And I loved Smith’s grand gesture.

Another fun installment in the Comets series. I loved the chemistry between and throughout the story. I am invested wholly in this hockey series and all the characters introduced in each book. A fun read.

sinfully good

Oh Smith and Emilia’s story was even better than I’d hoped for. I’ve been waiting for their story since book 1, catching the lingering glances and avoidance. They were (low key) angsty, funny, sexy, and interesting. And that ending was beyond perfect. I LOVED it

FINALLY a book where the woman doesn’t give up on her dreams, career, etc.. and puts herself first, and the man is the one that chooses her over everything else. i wish we could have seen more about the depth of the characters, it would’ve been fun digging a little bit more into their pasts. on the other hand the pace was good. i’ve already read glove save and i actually didn’t like it (not even a little bit) and this one was very familiar (a lil better), and i suppose the rest of the series is pretty much the same.. but both of them were very very boring for me, nothing interesting really happened. i didn’t hated the characters of Smith and Emilia but i definitely didn’t love them either, they were simply okay.

I was nervous about this one going in. I didn’t really know who Emilia was and I wasn’t sold on Smith from the other books, BUT they were freaking adorable.

I loved these characters & their chemistry, but I also loved how developed their relationship felt. Once again, Teaghan Hunter managed the passing of time brilliantly.

I’m not sure if I’m excited for the next book, but this one left me on a high so I’ll be diving right in.

Breaking the rules was never more fun!

I swear I read “forbidden” romances with one eye closed, afraid that someone’s going to walk in on the couple when they shouldn’t be together. This was no different. I kept thinking Smith’s teammates were going to spot him with Emelia. Absolutely loved it!
