When I was in highschool we had a literature teacher who split the classroom in groups. Each group had a different book they had to read then present to the class what the book was about. My group was given 100 Years Of Solitude from Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
The group who talked about Metamorphosis made the book like it was extremely complicated and confusing which maybe at that age it was. I'm currently 35 and I believe this book to be simple yet touches important aspects to every day life.

I don't think I quite understood all the metaphor and meaning embedded in the book, but it was pleasurable and interesting to me. I just think it went over my head
