Sadly it was eminently forgettable.

I had such high hopes for this comic book.

Deadpool? Amazing!
Classic Literature? I’m down!
Deadpool working his 4th wall breaking self through those classics? HELL, YES!

The reality is that it was just not done right. There’s no lead up to anything! Granted, I haven’t read much of anything that may have come first, so there could have been background info, but with it being a #1 in the series you would think there’d be a little bit of a backstory (and yes, I know the basics of Deadpools’ story, but apparently not enough)

I would have loved to see more interaction and some of the amazing Deadpool wit thrown at some of the classic characters.

Oh well.

Having never before read any Marvel or DC comics (or any comics in general other than manag's) I was very excited to read this. It was very entertaining and amusing, and I found it very captivating to read.

I was a little skeptical at first, but I am glad I took my boyfriends recommendation to this. I am definitely reading the other Deadpool comics when I get them!

Was expecting something much much better. But overall not bad...bringing classic characters back from the dead

I really enjoyed this comic. It was almost painful to see some of my favourite characters get killed and it was pretty gruesome in places, but overall very good! I'm excited for the film.

While I thought it was way too short, the story was very cool and meta. I just wish that it had been expanded and delved into deeper.
