This book! Just wow! I can’t say enough how wonderful this series is. The pacing, storytelling, and character development are all absolutely top-notch. The twists and turns of this book were well done. I adore the imperfect Ziva and her growth, while not changing who she is at her core. This duology is absolutely worth a read and I can’t wait to see what Levenseller writes next!

It was frustrating to see an entire plot point rehashed, but the book is fun, often makes me laugh out loud, and teaches good lessons that I hope resonate with younger readers too. More than anything, this book series gets me out of my comfort zone by putting the topic of severe anxiety front and center.

I read this for a prompt filler, and I was pleasantly happy with it! Although this is a second in a duology, the book was written well enough that I didn't feel lost at all. As someone with social anxiety, I appreciate the representation of it within the MFC Ziva.

Much more action in this compared to the first. Levensellar takes you on a journey of growth and self-discovery with Ziva that, at its core, is very relatable. A quick, enjoyable read.
