“Oh, and Parisa? I’m not giving up. Not until you tell me you’re not interested. I’m in this— for the long haul.”
I found the cover of this book appealing and the blurb caught my attention. I enjoyed the story, the enemies to lovers part was entertaining to read. Paisa & Malakai had great chemistry. But when the love triangle was introduced I lost interest tbh. The other guy Dane was a good man at first but he just couldn't take the hint. Parisa was just not that into him and despite her telling him not to propose, he went ahead with it. I hated that behaviour and it was downright desperate. There was no need to introduce his character tbh. And Kai's sister Gianna was just so wierd. She had no regard for relationships at all. I didn't like her either. The story moved so fast after 75% and I wanted to see more of Kai & Risa as a couple before the story ended unfortunately that did not happen so I am a bit disappointed.

I got an advanced readers copy of this book, but my review is unbiased. This was an entertaining read. I had some very distinct opinions on the characters (not going to share them as most are spoilers) because the book did a good job describing them. Wasn’t the most amazing book I’ve read, but I still enjoyed it a lot. I liked that it talked about holistic vet medicine which is something that helped a dog I had a lot. And books about dogs are always appreciated.

This was such a fun and addictive read! I finished it in one sitting. The main characters are great and I love how the story has both of their POVs. Parisa is super relatable and I adore Malakai, he’s everything
