The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet was one of my top reads this year, but this one didn’t work as well for me - I’m not sure why. It’s not bad, it’s certainly nice, but it wasn’t amazing like the Wayfarers and didn’t really hold my attention. This should’ve been a read in one afternoon, and it took me several.

This could be a “me” issue, but overall, I’d say if you’re one of the people who didn’t necessarily love this one either, Chambers’s other works are still worth a go.

This was a gift. And I want to return to it regularly. A reminder to care but also be cared for. To help but also accept help. To love and receive love. To do no harm to the world around you but also appreciate it and enjoy it.
