So inspiring!

Amazing kid! Oh the possibilities

This book was really good. I love how William is eager to learn, even when his family cannot afford to send him to school. This is an amazing story and is worth reading!

A great book to share with my 4th graders that will not only supplement our energy unit but also serve as a lesson in perseverance.

An incredible biography that will be an excellent mentor text in our access to water advocacy unit.

Haven't really read anything based in Malawi before, so learning about the history and culture was really interesting. Life has not anyways been kind to the author, but his determination and resourcefulness is awe inspiring.

So inspiring.

This is the story of a young man in Malawi who dreams of creating a better world for his family and educates himself so he can build a windmill. It is a story of hope, survival, education and motivation. I found the parts with lots of science explanations kind of boring but people who like science will enjoy those parts. This will soon be used in our 8th grade curriculum so it will be interesting to see how students react to it.
