I think the premise of this book was interesting, but not sure that it was executed in the best way. At its best, it was a mildly intriguing exploration of language and identity. However, most of the characters were severely underdeveloped and the constant misgendering of the trans character was distracting and unpleasant.

This book had an eye-catching premise but its execution really fell flat for me. I also wasn't a fan of the different narrators in every chapter.

Sttange, quirky little story. I quite liked it, though it is slow and not particularly action packed. The format and story structure took a little getting used to.  I enjoyed the exploration of language and relationship, and look forward to rereading it. I think it is one that will be even better the next time around.

In love with the premise, less fond of the execution.
