In "The Witch's Halloween Hero," we see how true love's kiss saves the relationship of witchy mom Corette and supernatural rook Stanhill when Corette is accidentally his with an anti-love spell. These two have been wonderful supporting characters in the Nocturne Falls books, and I love getting to see their relationship finally come front and center.

In "The Werewolf's Christmas Wish," werewolves Bridget Merrow and Sam Kincaid finally solidify the relationship that began with their flirting in The Werewolf Meets His Match. Sam feels that his (peripheral) involvement in his family's criminal enterprises makes him unworthy for the virtuous Bridget, but she disagrees -- even if they have to be trapped in a walk-in refrigerator to finally sort out their differences. I would have liked them to have a full-length book, but this is a great story otherwise.

In "A Vampire's Valentine Surprise," baker Delaney Ellingham thinks a rival has made her sick to take her out of the annual bake-off, but instead, she finds out she's pregnant (and she and husband Hugh celebrate). They're an adorable couple, and I love seeing more of them, plus the other supporting characters, like Kaley Van Zandt and Roxy St. James.

Finally, in "The Vampire's True Love Trials," Sebastian Ellingham has to undertake several mystical tasks in order to prove to fiancee Tessa Blythe's parents that he's worthy of marrying a Valkyrie. The family dynamics are great, but I am glad that Tessa's parents aren't forcing her to marry someone she doesn't love.
