What a wonderful follow up to The Nichan Smile! Still just as dark and delicious as the first book but with such added breadth to the world!

This installment picks up right where The Nichan Smile left off, Domino and Gus are on their separate paths and learning to find their way in the world without the support of person they've come to rely on. Blood of Torbatt delves even deeper into the lore of The Lost Faces Universe and C.J. Merwild has done a fabulous job of leading the reader through all these discoveries about life on the continent of Coroma without overwhelming the story.
The new characters introduced in this book succeeded in capturing my heart the same way Domino and Gus did in the first installment. Seeing the boys interact with Ganlaa, Charr, Lienn, Calico and so many more diverse and interesting people and how they grew throughout the story was definitely a high point of the book for me.

Absolutely dying for the next installment!

I was provided an advanced readers copy in exchange for a review, all opinions are my own.
