This book is a fast-paced paranormal romance and a mystery thriller. Ethan Broderick has recently realized that he hails from a family of witches and joins the coven. He is an oracle who is looking for guidance to unravel his new powers. Serena Bishop is the head priestess of the Coven and is quite powerful. Serena helps Ethan on how to work his power. Ethan gets a vision that Serena is about to be killed and plunges to help her. As they are trying to stop the killer from getting close to Serena, they develop a connection on their own.
The plot is very fast paced and the characters are interesting. The book keeps the readers on the edge of their seats. It can be easily finished in one sitting. If you are looking for a quick fast paced read, pick this book.

Cursed Sight was a great read! I am already a fan of this author and this was a fantastic addition to the series. I do wish you figured out the heroine’s backstory a little sooner because how mysterious she is wore thin after a little while. Tons of adventure, magic, and love. I cannot wait to read the next one!

This is book two in the Broderick Coven series. We follow our two main characters Ethan and Serena. Ethan is new to his powers and learning how to use them as the oracle.

He is teamed up with our lovely high priestess Serena.

It was a refreshing read to me as many books only portray women as witches and never men. With a new spin on magical reads it was one I didn't want to put down. Even without reading the first in the series I was able to tell who was who and felt for every character. I cannot wait to read the next in this series!

Cursed Sight by AJ Renee is the second book in the Broderick Coven book series. This can be read as a standalone and completely enjoyed. The story focuses on Ethan who finds out he comes from a long line of powerful witches. Will he come into his power? As he turns to the local coven leader Sabrina Bishop for assistance he finds more about his powers and develops feelings for her. I enjoyed the story and was drawn into it quickly. I liked the paranormal and mix of romance to the story. This was a nice story to dive into and am glad it is part of a series. I look forward to reading more of the books in the series soon.

Serena and Ethan came together as teacher and student as part of a coven. The chemistry is there. They seemed to have met when Serena helped Ethan's sister, whose talents as an oracle came into play. Ethan seems to have visions of Serena's demise so they spend time trying to figure out who and why is trying to kill her. Serena is pretty independent. It is soo hard due to her history to ask for help and depend on others but she learns that it is okay to ask. Ethan and his family are there to help. The action in packed in and keeps you drawn just to figure out who the culprit is. Great job at keeping interest. Love it and highly recommend.

Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven Book 2) by AJ Renee
4 Stars!!!!

Wow is all I can say. I know I once again have started a series out of order but man I can say that I was not at all at a loss. I totally could see how this could be a continuation as well as how the story line was formed. The author has such a unique style and I was definitely hooked. This is one of my favore genres so I was eager to read this book.

Ethan and Serena have such a great chemistry. I could feel the drama shrouding them and like how the author was able to keep the story fresh and unpredictable. I like how she helps him and they really both complete one another. The author has a great series here and I look forward to reading more.

This is the second book in the Broderick Coven Series. Serena Bishop is the high priestess of her coven. Ethan Broderick has recently learned that he comes from a long line of witches. Ethan and all his brothers and sister have special powers. Ethan sees visions. Ethan becomes the oracle of the coven, but the visions he has of Serena scare him. She is in danger, can he save her?
Ethan comes from an amazing family, his siblings and him are a very tight group. The chemistry between all of the characters gives me warm fuzzies. The love that grows between Ethan and Serena is the love that I dream about. This was a great story and am glad that I came across this author.

This is the story of Ethan Broderick and Serena Bishop, they are both witches, but Serena is the more powerful and head of her cover, whereas Ethan is new to his powers and up until a few months ago, didn’t know his family was a family of witches at all, so not being a part of any coven and dealing with that revelation is tough, but together, they are now mentor and pupil as Serena teaches Ethan how to use and develop his powers.

As she locks up for the night, Serena’s thoughts turn to Ethan and the events which brought him to her, as well as his sister, a powerful witch in her own right and a rival to her own power, but someone who doesn’t want to overthrow her, much to Serena’s surprise. While her memories flow, she shuffles a tarot deck and places it back under its crystal and heads upstairs to her apartment above the shop, she showers and takes in the peaceful scents of her incense mixing with her lavender body wash to help dispel the thoughts and morose mood she has developed and let sleep take her. Meanwhile, Ethan is home from a business trip and is thinking of Serena and how he has missed working with her while away and the revelations of his family history and the things it has awakened in him, his brothers and his sister. He sends her a quick text before showering and heading to bed, however a restful sleep was not in the cards when he awakens from a nightmare and the feeling it brought with it of foreboding, but with nothing else to glean from the images, he takes another shower and follows it with coffee and unpacking.

The next day, Serena heads around the store, cleansing it from the last customer’s emotions and starts sorting out a new delivery of crystals until she is startled by Ethan entering the shop and confused by her emotions and bodily reactions when he is around, but when she sees that he is not his usual self, she shuts the shop early and gives him an earful about not cleansing himself enough or properly and while she is trying to prepare to help him, she cannot think clearly until he puts his hands on her shoulders and helps her to regain her calm, however, as the cleansing ritual begins, she finds herself drawn into the circle she created around him and herself being cleansed at the same time, however, what she learns while this is happening si something she never expected.

As they continue to work together and develop his oracle powers, as well as developing feelings for each other, Ethan continues to get more visions and these ones are of Serena and of her being in danger, this leads to a fierce need to protect her and those around her, but who is the threat from and how can he help Serena to avoid her demise? All this and more will be answered as you read along this journey with Ethan and Serena, bringing more revelations and an emotional rollercoaster along with them.

Cursed Sight is the second book in the Broderick Coven series. Let me just say wow. The plotline is engaging and keeps you on your toes. The twists and turns that I went on was a wonderful roller coaster ride. The story held my attention from the first page to the last page. The characters are complex and fully developed. I felt like I knew them like they were a part of my world. Ethan has joined a local coven to learn about the powers he possesses, but what he did not know is that Serena would put a hold on his heart. Serena has been hurt by others and was not looking for love. She was in need of an oracle and in walks Ethan. She wanted to teach him about his powers but what happens is a relationship budding between them. Serena and Ethan both were not looking for anyone but fate has another idea. Will Ethan grasp his new powers and grow with them being in the coven? Will Serena let Ethan into her heart? I highly recommend this book to find out for yourself.
