I thought this was an interesting concept, and I know it's a short story but I do wish it was just a tad bit longer so it feels more fully fleshed out.

"Best of Luck" delves into the life of a man who thrives on the luck of others, masquerading as a friend while orchestrating their downfall. While one individual reaps all the rewards of wealth, fame, and glory, another endures one tragedy after another. 
Despite its intriguing premise, the story falls short in execution, primarily because it was just too short. 
A deeper exploration of Barry and Will's friendship would have greatly enhanced the narrative's depth and resonance.

Will wakes up his friend Barry at gunpoint. He threatens to shoot him unless he admits the truth. The truth being that Barry has stolen Will's luck. Rather than the rants of a deranged man, the terrifying truth about the source of Barry's success comes out.

This starts out as a story about a jealous friend (Will) down on his luck looking for someone (Barry) to blame. Just when you think Will is simply off his rocker, it spirals into a gory Black Mirror-worthy tale evoking thoughts about karma vs. unforeseen evil entities.

Well, that was something.

At first, Best of Luck seemed a tad confusing; however, by the end, I wanted more! This story had plenty of gore and a dark little twist; it reminded me of Stephen King's short story Fair Extension, but gorier!
