Such an awesome book. Marley, the loopy Labrador “evader” is so much fun and such a wonderful “character”. Marley is a great example of how a pet is so much a part of the family, a part of us. John Grogan‘s writing is wonderfully engaging; I felt like I was romping around with Marley myself. I laughed so much while reading the book and I even cried quite a bit towards the end. A wonderful book. A must read for all pet lovers.

A light and fluffy read. I never cease to appreciate the bond between and man and dog. It was touching at parts, and sunny at most. It is not of the same depth or type as Old Yeller or Where the Red Fern grows, but it was a rewarding read which reminds us to cherish all the simple joys around us, amidst the crazy challenges in life.

Oh the laughs and tears that accompany dog ownership. My dog Roxy is not as mischievous as Marley, but they share the same unconditional love, and joy in the simplest things. I almost could not get through the last chapter. Tears blurred my eyes while Roxy nudged me with her nose, silently asking me if I was okay. A very nice memoir about a silly family dog who meant so much to his family. Marley did not do anything heroic. He just lived and die like an ordinary dog. His extraordinary life came from his daily interactions with the family.

I really enjoyed this book! Who could resist the appeal of the stories of Marley and his random missteps. Sometimes the "World's Worst Dog" can be the most charming and loveable dog of all. I definitely laughed and cried throughout the book... even in the middle of the airport! I suggest this book for any dog lovers OR animal lovers out there! You will come to love Marley and wish for a dog just like him! :)

I have a dog just like Marley, crazy and funny. This book made me laugh and cry. I love the way John took care of Marley and how much his children loved him. It's a book everyone should read.

I absolutely loved this book! It was even better than the movie, although the book didn't make me cry like the movie did. Marley had me laughing out loud at all his hilarious moments of naughty behavior like when he swallowed a gold chain and would constantly steal food. John Grogan really makes you feel like you're right there through all the good times and the bad times, at one stage I felt like I had to wipe slobber and sand off my face when John was explaining their trip to 'Dog Beach'. I couldn't imagine living with a dog like Marley during his bad times of destroying everything but I could definitely live with his "heart of gold" loyal personality. This book will make you laugh and it may make you cry, I highly recommend you read this uplifting story of a dog who stole my heart and may steal yours.
