Oh, what a magnificent conclusion to the long and magical tale of the Owens family. I'm so sad my time with them is over.

It's interesting that this book was broken into chapters as I don't think the others had the more traditional breaks! I think either way still encapsulated this beautiful flow of the generational tale, but The Book of Magic just had more convenient pause points for when I could pop the book down.

I loved how many older characters there were that had such a thirst for life as I feel like fiction often rules out anyone over 30 as has beens. This was a refreshing narrative in that way. I also adored the little tidbits of chapters from interconnecting characters that you may not need to remember past a few chapters but had some sort of impact for the story to unfold. It just felt like everyone was given a chance to have their main character moment and that is precious to me.

What I really adored was how much libraries and books were talked about. I feel like it was fate for me to read this now as I transition into my new career as a librarian!

Absolutely had a fabulous time with this. I've still yet to watch the movie, but I wish we had a series of new movies of TV series for this fantastic collection of books! Ah, I just feel like they will always have a special place in my heart for here on out!

Pick it up, give it a go & enjoy!

“Read as many books as you can. Choose courage over caution. Take time to visit libraries. Look for light in the darkness. Have faith in yourself. Know that love is what matters most.”

3.5* This one didn’t pack a punch like the previous Practical Magic novels did for me, but I still think it was all in all a perfect conclusion to the series. ❤️

The final book of this series reads slower than the others, but I’m glad for the conclusion and found it to be inspiring
