So. This volume went downhill for me.

Mego is so determined to protect Aoi, that when Uesugi blackmails her to go on a date with him, she falls for it. I do have to give her props, in that she does what she can to be unappealing and to annoy him, even if it is superficial. She even challenges him to a fight.

I also appreciate that, even if it super annoys me that he immediately forced her to change and look pretty, there isn't any real cheating here. Mego is still devoted to Aoi at all times, even endangering herself to save his gift. That was still dumb of her, but okay. Then there's the cliffhanger, and Uesugi's cruel intentions, though I'm doubtful of his real intentions actually being bad.

There were some dumb decisions in this volume, and it definitely wasn't a favorite for me. Still reading.

Megumu and Mitsuru Kobayashi continue to cross dress in order to protect those they care about. However, Uesugi has learned about Megumu pretending to be her brother and uses that against Megumu along with the hair clip Aoi got her that she lost as a way to blackmail her into going on a date with him. Tokugawa tries to find a way to thank Mitsuru for protecting her, but still doesn't understand his feelings for Shino and ends up being frustrated while still liking him from a distance.

I think it is adorable that Aoi got a job in order to try and help with his aversion to women so that one day he may be able to touch Megumu without fainting. Tokugawa shows her sweeter side when she attempts to do nice things for Mitsuru, fortunately it is the thought that counts....not the flavor. I did not agree with Megumu getting blackmailed into a date, it would have made much more sense to tell Aoi what had happened and stayed away from Uesugi especially since Aoi had requested she do that due to Uesugi potentially being dangerous.

This manga is starting to get really weird lol. Like the secondhand awkward is getting worse. The storyline is decent tho which is why I keep picking up the next one

This volume makes you fall in love with the series all over again. Not only there is a strain with no touching but here comes a third party to ruin the budding romance.

This volume was really cute. i normally HATE love triangles and try to stay away from those, but this is not what i really expected. Although we do have the whole thing with Megumu, Sanada and Chiharu Uesugi and how at the end of the book we see Uesugi is falling for Mego-chan and her awkward ways, which is the sort of plots that normally would make me feel bored and want to leave the book back where it was, but this just really adds to the pace of the plot. although the romance is the big thing for this story the characters themselves are extremely awkward and cute, which just makes the story great.

I love Meg and Aoi so this book of Meg trying to hold her own and prove that she really like Aoi was a lot of love from me
