3.5✨ this book felt a touch longer than it needed to be, and the direct copied ideas from the huger games annoyed me. I will be continuing the series nonetheless.

it was sooo good oh my gosh but definitely not what i thought it was going to be. all the promoting of this book i've seen has mainly been that this is an enemies to lovers book and it did not live up to my expectations. it was more like some insta love but oh gawshh no paedyn you need to be aggravating and not admit ur feelings!!!....

plot wise, i enjoyed it, but honestly just go read the hunger games or red queen if you want a good plot similar to this lol. the end though!! really liked it. excited for the other books to come out(:

A very good read. Fast paced. Some romance that's a very slow burn. Hunger games esque with the trials, and nothing far fetched. Pae is someone you can root for. And Kai is the damaged "villain" you can fall for. Definitely will read the next one.
